Now that it's just the two of us, Kassie and I have more room to experiment with some things. She has been practicing guitar, while I have been trying some new licks on the bass. We might try to add some foot drums and such to be a full band with just the two of us.
We got our CDs done and have begun distributing them. You can buy one from us for $5 or you can get 10 for $50. They look pretty awesome and sound good too :)
We had an awesome time at the Blood:Water Mission Benefit Concert in Caseville, MI! It was our first show with our new drummer, Brian, and it went really well. It was also fun to hangout with some awesome people, including the Matt Moore band, Victory Stories, Fire Breathing Pandas, TSA, and too many others to list them all, but we love you all! We posted pictures on facebook, so check 'em out.
We are excited about leaving for Florida in a few days. Please, pray for the students and others going on the trip that it will be a great time of spiritual growth and also that everybody will bring what they have learned, and the ways their lives have changed, back to their normal environment and share God's love with their friends. Thanks!
We got our CD from the studio and are sending it tomorrow to be duplicated!
Now that we have our band reset, we have been practicing more regularly, getting ready for Blood:Water and Florida (see home page for schedule). We are excited about how things are coming together.
We're also looking forward to working on some new material once we catch up with ourselves.
What have you been doing lately? What do you love to do?
We lost our keyboardist/guitarist, Brady Wright, recently. Sad.
One the bright side, this has allowed for new beginnings. For one thing, Kassie Hill, our drummer, is transitioning to become our keyboardist/singer. Drums have been opened up for Brian Mohr to join us. We had our first practice with Brian a couple days ago, and I am pretty sure there was something people like to call 'chemistry.'
We practiced some of our originals, along with some songs for Florida, including our 'Pop Medley.' I am not sure how much I want to reveal about that one or the other songs we have picked out just yet, so I will leave it at that.
I want to also include a shout out to Ron Badgerow of Music & More in Bad Axe, MI. He not only hooked us up with a good deal on a synth, but he also treated my tele well (my wallet, too). Thanks, Ron!
Thanks, also to all of you who read this. We love you! (Maybe I am getting a little sentimental because it's Valentine's Day ; )
In anticipation of getting our EP back from the studio, I have been working on art for the CD itself and the sleeve it will be packaged in. I don't really know much about what I am doing. Nevertheless, I have enjoyed the process and am quite satisfied with the outcomes, so far.
The main things I don't know about have to do with formatting. Hopefully, my work will not be in vain, and the artwork will be accepted by the CD duplication service. I think it looks pretty sweet! You can see what we've got for the CD art to the right. More pictures can be found on our photo page.
